The Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL) has announced the 2021-2022 start date.
At a meeting of the Board of Directors for the Provincial Junior Hockey League, it was determined that October 1, 2021 will be the start date for the 2021-2022 season.
That is great news for hockey fans!
All teams are currently preparing for the upcoming season.
While the league did everything possible to play last season, it became evidently clear that a season would not be possible with all the COVID restrictions. With many municipalities removing their ice and using their arenas as vaccination clinics, our teams were without ice to practice or play. And with a league our size the time to operate a season and then some form of playoffs became nearly impossible.
The schedules for the eight divisions are being worked on and they will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
